On a personal note, I just watched "Thumbsucker," starring Lou Pucci, Keanu Reeves, Vincent D'Onofrio, etc. etc. While this particular fact seems to have no significance to the post, it should be noted that the soundtrack was put together by the Polyphonic Spree and Elliott Smith. For those of you who can't wait until July 3, I'd recommend checking out the soundtrack for your Spree fix. With winter depression soon to be over and done with, its apt that the overtly-gleeful Polyphonic Spree have a new album in the works. The record, titled The Fragile Army, is due July 3, and the insanely-huge collective is currently finishing up 14 songs in a Minnesota studio. While other album details are sparse, the band have been documenting the recording process on their own blog, where member Evan Hisey notes that "it's been such an interesting, fresh experience watching the songs evolve over the past month."
